Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Ghana: Q3 2025 Performance

The third quarter of 2025 saw significant activity in the navigation and maps app category in Ghana. Here's a detailed look at the top five apps on a unified platform, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 11.5K at the beginning of July and reaching approximately 24.7K by the end of September. The app's active user base also grew steadily, peaking at around 732.4K.

GhanaPostGPS showed a moderate increase in downloads, with numbers rising from 3.1K to 4.7K throughout the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 14.9K to 17.3K by the end of September.

Easy Rout Map: Navigation Path had fluctuating download numbers, starting at 2.8K, peaking at 4.6K, and then declining to 2.4K. However, its active user count remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at about 10.7K.

GPS Navigation & Map Direction saw an upward trend in downloads early in the quarter, peaking at 3.9K, before decreasing to 1.6K. The active user count showed a slight increase, closing at 3.6K.

Finally, GPS Satellite Live Earth Map experienced a sharp decline in downloads from 4.1K to just 38 by the end of September. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 6.8K.
